Review:

What a great, unique concept. Take a famous first line from a classic novel and base an SF story on it.

Some great authors and some great submissions. Some. Not all. Gardner Dozois is one of the finest editors of anthologies ever, but in any collection you’re going to get a range of material. Some good, some great, some just not to my taste.

The best one, worth the whole price of the book… well I won’t tell you but I will tell you the first line: Call me Ishmael.

Some light-hearted romps, some that were pretty dark actually.

All told, or as Dr. Goodman would never say, at the end of the day, a fine read.

This book made me want to: read Macbeth again
