Review:

Clearly a classic work of American literature.

Wonderful imagery and work painting. You can feel the oppressive heat and hear the insects.

“Too many notes” the annecdotal comment of the King to Mozart on hearing his compositions. In this case – too many words. It goes around and weaves back and then goes out again until you are not sure what is going on. It’s a novel, not an attempt to land a prize sportfish.

Who is Percy Grimm? Where was he for the first 500 pages? Did he chop off the nigger’s pecker? Come on, Faulkner, spit out what you’re trying to say!

This book made me want to: make cornbread.
